At Homes by Jacq we provide a range of modern, relaxing, comfortable homes to suit the needs of our guests. Be that a cosy home right in the heart of the city centre or a spacious 4-bedoom house on the outskirts of town, close to business and work sites. Whether you are in town for a short business trip, a long project with your team or simply for leisure we do all that we can to make your stay easy and comfortable.
All our homes have easy access to town centres and good transport links and are close to green spaces where you can connect with nature at the beginning or end of your day as you desire. We design our accommodation to give you a sense of coming home at the end of the day, where you feel welcomed, and where you can relax, recharge and settle in from day one.
Our aim is to make your stay a relaxing experience with an easy, transparent and flexible booking process and support when you need it from start to finish.
Colchester is one of England's oldest towns and boasts many historic, cultural and fun attractions. It was the first major Roman city in Britain and as such there are many historical buildings and ruins from this time, including Colchester Castle which is built on the foundations of a Roman temple.
Many areas of Colchester City are nationally important archaeological sites. There are also many beautiful natural places to visit in Colchester – both country parks and local nature reserves. The River Colne flows through Colchester and provides scenic walking routes and boating opportunities for residents and visitors.
Wherever you are in Colchester you’ll find you are never far from a park or waterway to relax and enjoy. The town also offers fantastic shopping areas, sports, leisure and entertainment facilities and a thriving arts community.

We booked at extremely short notice after having to leave an unsafe property in an emergency situation. Jacqueline answered our messages immediately & helped us straight away. Super friendly & helpful, the property was lovely, clean & modern with every amenity in the kitchen that we needed & more. Very well presented, a real home from home with lovely little touches like fresh flowers & chocolates on our arrival.
Jacqueline was an absolute lifesaver for us this weekend & went above & beyond for us. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Colchester 5 ⭐️ all the way.

this apartment was so comfortable and has everything you need. It's just down the road from the high street and there are lots of local shops and places to eat.
The host is wonderful, we went when it was particularly hot and we asked if we'd be able to buy a fan for the living room. we purchased a fan and she reimbursed us.
TLDRl, it's a wonderful two story apartment, owned by a very kind person, anf is close to the high street with lots of local shops.
10/10 Would stay here again in an instant.

Five of us stayed one night at Jacqueline for a local wedding at the town hall which was a five minute walk away so an ideal location for our stay with an NCP car park two minutes away which we booked the night before
We had no time to explore but did notice lots of restaurants and shops nearby
Jacqueline was most accommodating in sorting an early check in for us. The accommodation was plenty big enough for the five of us and was just what we were looking for
